Radiesse® Volumising Filler

Product Description

RADIESSE® volumising filler is a non-animal based subdermal, injectable implant. The main component of this dermal filler is calcium hydroxylapatite(CAHA), a biocompatible material that is a naturally occurring mineral found in human bones and teeth. The CaHA microspheres are suspended in carboxymethylcellulose(CMC) gel carrier which is responsible for the immediate volumising effect of this product. CaHA microspheres provide a scaffold under the skin, giving tissue structure as well as stimulating the body’s own production of collagen. The process of collagen stimulation continues for several months, which extends the initial effect of Radiesse® Volumising Filler. The natural results achieved with this product are clinically proven to last a minimum of one year. 

Uses of RADIESSE® Volumising Filler

At Sutton and Epsom Cosmetic Clinic, we use RADIESSE® for a range of treatments including;

1. Smile lines/ Nasolabial folds. These are the lines that run from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth. They are due to loss of facial volume and skin elasticity and can create a tired and unhappy facial appearance. Treatment with RADIESSE® can replenish lost volume by stimulating collagen production in this area creating results that will last a minimum of 12 months. 
2. Marionette lines: These are the lines that travel downwards from the corners of the mouth creating the impression of a frown. With age and loss of facial volume, fine lines in this area can develop into deeper creases. RADIESSE® immediately restores lost volume and stimulates the production of your own natural collagen; results are clinically proven to last a year or more for the majority of clients. 
3. The corners of the mouth: With ageing, you can lose volume in and around the corners of the mouth. This results in downturned appearance of the mouth giving us a sad appearance and deep marionette lines. RADIESSE® Volumising Filler replenishes lost volume and stimulates the body to produce its own natural collagen, hence provides volume back into this area, giving you a more refreshed and youthful appearance.
4. Pre-Jowl: The pre-jowl sulcus is the area on either side of our chin and age-related bone changes and loss of facial volume can result in a hollowing of this area. Subsequently jowls form as facial tissue sags in the lower third of the face. Replenishing volume loss in this area can make a considerable difference towards creating a more youthful appearance. RADIESSE® involves a minimally invasive procedure which immediately replenishes lost volume in this area thereby providing the required lift to restore a smooth and youthful jaw line. 
5. Chin Wrinkles: Wrinkles on the chin are typically associated with loss of facial volume. RADIESSE®® can immediately restore volume to the chin, minimising the appearance of wrinkles which overall results in a smoother, more youthful appearance. 
6. Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty / non-surgical nose job): RADIESSE® reliably produces excellent results with minimal downtime. 

Side effects

Following treatment, it is normal to experience slight redness, tenderness and swelling in the treated area. These side effects are only temporary and are typically resolved within a few days post treatment. Clients are offered a follow up appointment two weeks post treatment where touch ups can be administered if necessary. Please note this product is not suitable for lips.
