The Priapus Shot, otherwise known as the “P-Shot” is a treatment designed to enhance sexual performance and pleasure in men, particularly when this has been compromised due to ageing or medical illness. The Priapus Shot is a safe procedure for strengthening the penis. It produces a gradual but noticeable improvement with minimal down time.
Injection of Platelet Rich Plasma into the treatment area results in tissue growth that potentially enhances the length and girth of the penis as well as encouraging new blood vessel growth. The circulation within the penis is improved which results in stronger erections as well as enhanced sensation and improved sexual performance. Many of these benefits are experienced immediately after receiving treatment.
P-Shot can potentially improve the following: • Blood flow and circulation to the penis • Sexual stamina and capability • Sensation and pleasure • Firmness of erection • Penile length and girth up to one inch or more has been reported (not guaranteed)
The doctor will assess your suitability for the PRP treatment for penile rejuvenation. First, your skin is cleansed and local anaesthetic cream is applied. For our more sensitive clients we offer local anaesthetic injections prior to the actual treatment. Approximately 60 ml of blood is drawn from your arm in the same way blood samples are taken for routine blood tests. The tubes of blood are centrifuged to separate the component cells. Platelets are separated and used for this procedure. Finally, the local anaesthetic cream is removed, the area is cleaned with a gentle antiseptic wipe and PRP injections are performed in the target areas. The actual PRP injection procedure only takes a few minutes. However, the whole process takes 60-90 minutes depending on the complexity.
Improvement is noticeable within three weeks and improvement continues for up to 8 months. The results can last up to one year and in some cases longer. However, results may vary and research documenting the longevity of results is ongoing.
No significant side effects have been reported with this procedure. There is the possibility of mild bruising however this normally resolves within a few days following treatment.
