Silhouette Soft® Thread Lift is a new concept in non-surgical facial rejuvenation. This 30-minute procedure results in a more defined, lifted but natural appearance restoring the ‘triangle of youth’. The strategic insertion of threads with tiny cones, grip and lift sagging soft tissue. Silhouette Soft provides immediate results that can last between 12 and 18 months.
The Silhouette Soft® Thread Lift is suitable for clients who are affected by mild mid face and cheek drooping, sagging jowls as well as nose to mouth lines. Silhouette Soft provides the best results for clients in their mid- to late-30s to mid-50s who do not yet require surgical intervention. The procedure can also be performed on the neck to provide a natural lift, restoring a more youthful appearance.
Silhouette Soft® involves the implantation of resorbable sterile suspension sutures made of Poly L-Lactic Acid monofilament with tiny blue moulded cones along the length of the suture. Once inserted into the facial tissue the suture acts as scaffolding under the surface of the skin which lifts sagging soft tissue. The cones serve a dual purpose of holding the threads in place as well as stimulating collagen production to restore depleted facial volume.
Silhouette Soft® Lift is performed under local anaesthetic in an out-patient setting without the need of hospitalisation.
This minimally invasive technique is used to lift and reposition sagging mid face and neck tissue. Silhouette Soft® Sutures offer significantly greater lift due to their unique absorbable cones which give strong traction when lifting the soft tissue. The sutures are attached to the temporal fascia. To achieve this, a small incision is made above the hairline, where the sutures are anchored. The threads use tiny cones to grip the soft tissues and lift sagging tissues. The threads are anchored to the firm fibrous tissues of the scalp or behind the ear in the Neck Lift, thus providing long lasting results.
Aspirin and extreme temperatures (i.e. sauna) should be avoided for seven post treatment.
It is normal for clients to experience some swelling and bruising for several days following the procedure
Results typically last between 12 and 18 months.

Silhouette Soft® can be safely combined with other aesthetic treatments such as Botox, dermal fillers, Sculptra, Platelet Rich Plasma and fat transfer.
This procedure is not suitable for clients who have active acne or skin infection or who are pregnant, breastfeeding or undergoing IVF. Clients with any known allergy (to the ingredients) or foreign-body sensitivities to plastic/biomaterial, past permanent filler implantation, acute and chronic skin diseases, autoimmune diseases, sepsis or infection should not undergo treatment.
