The Orgasm Shot, also commonly referred as O-Shot, involves the use of a component of our blood, Platelet Rich Plasma(PRP) for rejuvenating the vagina that helps with vaginal dryness, stress incontinence and sexual dysfunction.
Almost all women who have had the injection enjoy an increase in their sexual response; i.e. stronger and more frequent orgasms, decreased pain for those with dyspareunia (painful intercourse), increased lubrication, increased desire and greater arousal sensitivity from stimulation.
The shot uses platelets (which are responsible for tissue rejuvenation) containing the patient’s own blood taken from their arm. This is then put in a special centrifuge which produces Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). The vagina and the surrounding area is numbed by application of a local anaesthetic cream before the PRP is injected into specific areas of the vagina.
PRP injected into the vagina increases sensitivity, renews blood vessels and stimulating collagen production (which increases the vaginal wall’s elasticity, natural lubrication, engorgement, and sensation.
Side effects are unusual but potential side effects include temporary vaginal spotting, sexual hypersensitivity and infection.
